Flows – Basics

Lesson Guide: Managing and Adding Third-Party Connections

Before your automated workflows can communicate with external platforms like Salesforce, Monday.com, Gmail, or Slack, you need to authorize Noca AI to securely pass data back and forth. This guide walks you through navigating your credentials panel and setting up a brand-new application link.

Step 1: Navigate to the Connections Dashboard

  • Look at the main sidebar menu on the left side of your screen.

  • Scroll down and click to expand the Security & Credentials section.

  • Select Connections from the sub-menu dropdown.

Step 2: Audit Existing Accounts

  • Once inside the Connections screen, review the central grid list.

  • Here, you can audit all previously authorized instances (such as Google Sheets, Slack, or active Gmail profiles).

  • Keep an eye on the Authentication checkmark status, the specific configuration details, and the creation timestamps to ensure your workplace apps remain properly verified.

Step 3: Open the App Integration Library

  • To link a brand new third-party profile, navigate to the top right header of the main grid panel.

  • Click on the Plus icon (+).

  • This action opens the Add New Connection side panel, showcasing the library of out-of-the-box software applications natively integrated with Noca AI.

Step 4: Choose Your Target Application

  • Browse the app catalog grid or use the panel search tool.

  • For this walkthrough, find the Salesforce integration icon and click on it to initialize the setup module.

Step 5: Configure and Name the New Link

  • In the configuration drawer labeled Connect to Salesforce, click inside the Name input entry field.

  • Type in a clear, descriptive internal label (e.g., Salesforce - Tech Production or Security) so team members can easily identify this exact credential later inside the workflow canvas.

Step 6: Trigger the OAuth Token Authorization

  • Once your label text is assigned, look for the primary connection button (such as Add Profile/Auth) near the bottom of the modal panel.

  • Clicking this button safely launches the native, secure OAuth sign-in screen provided by the external application.

  • Log into your external administration account and click Allow to officially delegate access permissions to Noca AI.

💡 Academy Note: Once a connection is successfully authorized, it will instantly reappear on your central dashboard with an active verification badge, making its data variables immediately accessible as trigger events in the flow builder!
