Lesson: Risk-Free Innovation with Revert Changes

The key to creating an incredible user interface is experimentation. However, when building apps traditionally, testing out a radical new layout or design direction often risks breaking working configurations. In this final lesson of our foundational module, you will learn how to use Noca AI’s built-in safety net: the Revert Changes feature. This tool allows you to test bold design choices completely risk-free.

The Sandbox Mindset

Every time Noca AI executes a generation prompt, it saves a snapshot of your previous clean workspace. This means you never have to worry about “ruining” an app layout. If a new prompt implementation doesn’t look or behave exactly how you envisioned, you can roll it back instantly.

Step 1: Initiate a Radical Design or Layout Change

To see the rollback feature in action, let’s purposely apply a major experimental prompt to your existing multi-step application:

  1. Look at your current application configuration in the preview screen.

  2. Go to the chat command bar at the bottom left.

  3. Type an experimental styling or layout modification (e.g., using the custom glassmorphism or micro-interaction plan generated during your previous Discussion Mode session).

  4. Click Send and let the engine compile the updates.

Step 2: Evaluate the Layout Results

  1. Once the building engine finishes, look at the live preview area on the right.

  2. Audit the changes to decide if you want to keep them:

    • Do the new layout columns feel too crowded?

    • Does the style change conflict with your primary branding headers?

  3. If you decide that you preferred the application’s clean state prior to this execution, do not attempt to manually delete the changes or type a fix.

Step 3: Locate the Version Control Panel

  1. Move your eyes directly to the chat panel area on the bottom left.

  2. Right below the AI’s latest message, you will see a validation section asking if you are finished with the modifications.

  3. Observe your two action options:

    • Happy with these: Commits the current state as your new baseline.

    • Revert last: Discards the changes from the prompt you just ran.

Step 4: Execute the Rollback Command

  1. Click the Revert last button.

  2. Watch the Noca build engine immediately wipe the latest experimental generation and reference the previous snapshot.

  3. The live preview window on the right will instantly refresh.

Step 5: Confirm App Restoration

  1. Verify your canvas view: your application has completely returned to its original, perfectly styled, clean multi-step layout.

  2. Note that all your historical steps, input components, and color variables remain entirely intact, exactly as they were before the test.
