Connecting Web Sources to Your AI Bot
In this lesson, you will learn how to expand your AI bot’s knowledge base by linking publicly available web documentation directly as a web source.
Step 1: Open Your Existing Bot
-
Navigate to Bots from your Noca Dashboard.
-
Select and open your bot in the builder interface.
Step 2: Access Bot Settings
-
Click the Settings gear icon in the top right corner.
-
In the left navigation menu of the settings window, select Web Sources.
Step 3: Add a Web Source URL
-
Copy the URL of any public documentation or support article you want your bot to reference (e.g., a guide on setting up a Salesforce connection).
-
Click the + (plus icon) in the Web Sources menu.
-
Paste the copied URL into the text box and click Save.
Step 4: Save and Test the Web Source
-
Close the Settings modal.
-
Click Debug draft version in the top right to launch a test chat window.
-
Ask a question related to the web page you just added (e.g., “How do I set up a Salesforce connection in Noca?”).
-
Observe the result: The bot will crawl the linked article and provide accurate, step-by-step instructions directly from the web source.
